C-10
The capture of high-speed events is becoming increasingly important in a wide range of research and industrial applications. Citius Imaging, based in Finland have many years experience in high speed camera development and have now launched the C-10 which puts high speed aging within reach of users for whom these techniques were previously out of reach.
The C10 uses a standard USB interface for digital data transfer, which comes as standard with all PCs and laptops. The C10 can handle between 100 and 10,0000 frames/second. Depending on the memory used, the C10 can record sequences of up to four minutes.
The 640 x 480 pixel detector gives outstanding images and due to the light intensity of the camera, only minimal external lighting will be needed. | |

The C-10 software package (source code is freely available to users) operates under all Windows operating systems. A numbers of innovative features enable users to employ a number of trigger options and there are options to display sequences and single frames. The exposure time of the images can be as little as 10 microseconds and a standard C-mount allows the use of commercial microscopes and objectives.
As well as the C-10 for visible wavelengths we can also provide a range of thermal imaging cameras in the near, mid and far infrared ranges. Full details are given on the Phoenix page.
The C-10 is attractively priced, and provides users in the lab, shop floor and in the field with a valuable tool for monitoring and understanding high-speed events. Key applications include:
 | Automotive and transport (crash testing, engine monitoring etc)
|
 | High-speed industrial processes (component positioning on ICBs, paper presses, mail sorting machines, etc.)
|
 | Sports event replays, research and training
|
 | Prototype troubleshooting
|
 | Military and defence research applications
|
For one-off applications and short-term projects, the C10 can be hired, with training available if required. Please contact us for details.
Centurio
he Citius Centurio offers even higher frame rates of 420 Hz full frame. Smaller windows allow to run the camera with up to 180000 frames per second. The shortest integration time can be as short as 2 µs. This camera offers the outstanding performance of a 1280 * 1024 Pixels CMOS detector. The software allows several methods to trigger and synchronize the camera before, during or after the event. Up to 8 cameras can be synchronized. |
