Quantum Design’s cryogen-free VSM – the VersaLab™
|
Quantum Design’s newest product is a portable cryogen-free cryocooler-based Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) designed for high sensitivity magnetic characterization of materials at up to 3Tesla. The instrument covers a wide experimental temperature range of 50 to 400K.
The VersaLab is a fully automated turn-key system with a user-friendly interface. Users will benefit from the functional versatility of the VersaLab as it can be moved easily and requires no liquid cryogens, cooling water or three-phase supply. Just a single-phase electrical outlet is required to operate the instrument.
VersaLab utilizes technology developed for Quantum Design’s popular Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS®). To increase the versatility of the VersaLab, Quantum design is currently planning to add other PPMS-based measurement options to the VersaLab. These will include a VSM 1000K oven, heat capacity, resistivity and sample rotation facilities.
