16 Tesla PPMS®

To complement the existing 7, 9 and 14 Tesla systems, Quantum Design has announced the PPMS-16, with a 16 Tesla NbTi/Nb3Sn hybrid longitudinal magnet. Because of its size, the magnet is mounted directly into a specially designed bottom loading, nitrogen shielded helium dewar. This design optimizes for cryogenic efficiency.

This latest PPMS will contain a state of the art 120 A, 10 V power supply. Utilizing Quantum Design's relay-less H-plate architecture, this supply will provide continuous charging through zero field.
