Elektrisch Abstimmbare Filter – VariSpec

VariSpec Liquid Crystal Tunable Filters (LCTFs) from CRI are like high-quality interference filters, but the wavelengths of light they transmit are electronically controllable. They providing a rapid, vibration-free selection of any wavelength in the visible and near-infrared spectrum. The VariSpec filter’s wavelength selection, large apertures (20 mm and 35 mm depending on model) and excellent imaging quality are valuable in a wide variety of applications such as remote sensing for agriculture, chemical imaging, semiconductor process control, machine vision, and biomedical imaging.

Filters are available for 4 basic wavelength ranges: VIS, SNIR, LNIR and XNIR; 400 - 720; 650 - 1100; 850 – 1800 and 1200 – 2450 nm.

Single systems are offered with 7, 10, and 20 nm bandwidths. Using two optics housings and two controllers, we also offer filters with only 0.75 nm (NIRR 650 nm – 1100 nm) and 0.25 nm bandwidths for the VISR (500 nm - 720 nm) version.

A standard USB interface and low power requirements make integration into your existing instrumentation easy.

Nuance is a complete system that is based on a VariSpec filter. It includes a camera and software for a microscope and enables you to clearly visualize multiplexed bright field and fluorescent markers. The Nuance system can also be used in the field for remote sensing or industrial applications.
