Gütegeschaltete Nd:YAG-Laser sind erste Wahl zur Erzeugung von Laserpulse. Dank nicht-linearer Frequenzkonvertierung sind neben der Fundamentalen bei 1064 nm auch weitere Wellenlängen im IR (1,5 µm), VIS (532 nm) und UV (355 nm, 266 nm und 213 nm) mit hohen Pulsenergien zugänglich.
